Real Bride Maya's Hair and Makeup at Hilton Hall, Hilton, UK & Wedding Blessing in Sarangpur, India

Updated: Jul 1, 2020

The very lovely Maya booked me for her Civil Wedding and Reception hair and makeup without a trial (truly honoured!) We didn't really speak much till it got closer to the wedding to arrange a trial a few weeks before the wedding. By then, Maya had her outfit and jewellery. Maya was actually having a small intimate Indian wedding blessing in India, so opted for a Civil and Reception in the UK to celebrate with her family and friends.

9th Nov 2019

It was a cool November morning for the civil wedding. Hilton Hall looked gorgeous under the gloomy sky with the sun peeping through every now and then. Maya was happy with the trial and left me to get creating again. I loved how calm and trusting she was with me in the morning. Due to not having to wear a scarf on the head, Maya had opted for a textured up do (Russian style) with a few wispy bits to frame her face. Maya has gorgeous long locks so I didn't need to use any hair extensions.

For Maya's makeup I kept it natural looking as always, with a pop of champagne shimmer from Inglot (118) (vegan and cruelty free) on the lids, a winged liner to frame her gorgeous eyes (also from Inglot (77), and a soft peachy lip to compliment her outfit.

As Maya was having two events on the same day, rather than changing her outfit, she bought two dupattas for the same outfit and swapped these inbetween events. After draping her in her first dupatta, I pre-pleated her second dupatta for her reception and showed her bridesmaids how to change it over seamlessly. Working with Trevor was just a great joy, gorgeous photography and just a nice supplier to work with! (Images are at the end of the blog).

Maya's Indian wedding blessing was scheduled to 6 weeks after the Civil. Obviously my first question was what her plans were for her makeup. She said she was going to be doing it herself as it was a small gathering for the family. Maya's a trained bharatnatyam dancer so I knew she wouldn't have any problems but she opted to attend my #NaturalCakeFace workshop. This workshop is a full day workshop where I teach a small group how to apply their own makeup using their own products for any occasion. Maya knew what kind of makeup she wanted to wear for her wedding blessing in India so I helped her create and showed her the techniques she would require. Here are some images of her Wedding Blessing look in India below and a review that Maya left on my Facebook page...what a beauty!

'From seeing her work on social media over the years, I've known for quite a while that I'd want Jaineesha to do my make up for my wedding. And she really did live up to every expectation - she's absolutely amazing! Jaineesha took so much patience and care during the trial to work out exactly the look I want, and made my hair and make up look absolutely perfect on the day with such ease!

Shortly after the wedding in the UK, I was travelling to India for my Hindu wedding ceremony. I wasn't sure if I would find someone there who would be able to create a similar natural look. So Jaineesha suggested I do it myself. As a total novice to make up, the idea of doing my own make up for my wedding was really daunting.

I attended Jaineesha's Natural Cake Face workshop at beginning of December and walked away with so much more confidence. Jaineesha followed up with me everyday until I flew out to make sure I had bought everything I needed and had answered all of my questions to make sure I was happy to do my make up alone in India. On the day of the wedding, I worked through all of my notes from the course and managed to create a look I felt was natural and comfortable! I honestly could not recommend Jaineesha or the workshop any more! She knows exactly how to make you look and feel like a glamorous version of yourself! Thank you so much for everything!!'
